We received our Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for Mia. This means China has reviewed all of our dossier paperwork and have approved us to be Mia's family. We anticipate traveling to get her sometime between mid-February and mid-March.
Per our agency, here is the expected timeline from now until travel:
2 weeks - LOA to I-800 Provisional Approval
1 week - I800 Provisional Approval to NVC Notification
2 weeks - NVC Notification to Article 5
3 weeks - Ariticle 5 to Travel Approval (TA)
2 weeks - TA to Travel Departure
(10 weeks start to finish)
We are expecting a bit of a delay in this timeline with Christmas, New Years, and Chinese New Year's all approaching. But on the flip side, being busy with the holidays will make the waiting go very quickly. We'll be on that plane before we know it.
We'll keep you posted as we move through these milestones.
